QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, FNIQS, on Friday joined other dignitaries at the burial of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, in Abuja.

Idris was laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery following the Janazah prayer held at the National Mosque, bringing to a close the funeral rites for the former governor.
QS Aminu was among those who attended the solemn ceremony to pay his final respects to the late former governor and commiserate with the Idris family.
Other dignitaries at the burial included Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former governors Yahaya Bello and Idris Wada, as well as members of the Idris family, political associates and other government officials.
Idris, who died in the United Kingdom on September 20, 2026, at the age of 77, served as Governor of Kogi State from 2003 to 2012.
His remains were brought to Abuja for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
QS Aminu had earlier condoled with the Idris family, describing the death of the former governor as a loss to Kogi State and praying for the repose of his soul.
The burial drew mourners from across Kogi State and beyond, as family members, friends, associates and political leaders gathered to bid the former governor a final farewell.
