ADC Officially Unveils Kogi East Zonal Structure in Anyigb

Anyigba, Kogi State – November 8, 2025:
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday officially unveiled its Kogi East Zonal Structure in Anyigba, the commercial city of the Igala Kingdom, marking a major step in the party’s effort to strengthen its grassroots network and expand its presence across the North Central region.

The official unveiling ceremony drew top national and state leaders of the party, including the National Chairman, Senator David Mark; National Secretary, HE Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola; National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi; National Vice Chairman, Senator Tunde Ogbha; Kogi State Party Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Temitope Ogga; and State Party Secretary, Comrade Adaji John.

Other dignitaries in attendance were QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, Chairman of the Committee on Finance; Elder Simon Achuba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State; Barr. Abubakar Usman Yahaya; Hon. Yakubu Mamuda Kampala; Hajia Mariam Akpidi Yakubu; Comrade Adaji John Udale; Hon. Idris Ejima Aruwa; Elder Okpanachi Bolo; Capt. Joe Agada (rtd); Engr. Musa Wada; Alhaji Ako Aduky Idok; and Hon. Tom Zakaria, PhD.

In his keynote address, Senator David Mark described the official unveiling as a “defining moment for a new political awakening in Kogi East and beyond,” adding that the ADC was committed to restoring public confidence in governance through transparency, fairness, and service.

“The ADC represents a movement of conscience and renewal,” Sen. Mark said. “From Anyigba today, we are sending a message that politics must once again be about the people, not personal gain.”

Also speaking, the Kogi State Party Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Temitope Ogga, noted that the official unveiling underscored ADC’s growing strength and credibility within the Igala Kingdom.

“This is not just a ceremony but a statement of readiness,” Ogga said. “The ADC is home to all who believe in progress, unity, and justice. We are here to serve and empower our people.”

The Chairman of the Committee on Finance, QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, expressed appreciation to members of the organising committee for their commitment and hard work, describing the successful unveiling as “a collective achievement rooted in shared vision and discipline.”

The event concluded with the inauguration of the zonal leadership and a renewed call for youth and women participation in the party’s structures.
