The Idah Federal Constituency of the Action Democratic Party (ADC) has unanimously endorsed Elder Itodo Ubolo Okpanachi as the Federal Constituency Leader of the party.
The endorsement was reached during a well attended constituency meeting held in Idah, Kogi State. The meeting brought together key stakeholders and prominent leaders from the four Local Government Areas that make up the Idah Federal Constituency, reflecting a broad based consensus and unity of purpose within the party structure.
Among notable leaders present were Simon Achuba, Chief Peter Yakubu Iduh, Dr. Sule Odoma, Mr. M. M. Ocheni, Pharm. Henry Ukwubile, Hon. David Apeh, alongside several other respected party elders and dignitaries.
In their separate remarks, stakeholders emphasized the need for cohesive leadership, strategic grassroots mobilization, and strengthened party structures ahead of forthcoming political activities. The unanimous endorsement of Elder Itodo Ubolo Okpanachi was described as a decision driven by his demonstrated commitment, maturity, and longstanding dedication to party growth and unity within the constituency.
As part of resolutions reached at the meeting, a five member Finance Committee was inaugurated to strengthen the party’s financial coordination and accountability framework within the constituency. The name of the Committee Chairman will be officially announced at a subsequent meeting. Members were urged to support the committee and ensure transparent financial participation in party activities.
Furthermore, all party members present were encouraged to actively engage in the ongoing mobilization and membership registration drive of the ADC across the four Local Government Areas. Leaders stressed that sustained grassroots engagement remains critical to consolidating the party’s presence and electoral strength in the constituency.
Following the meeting, the newly endorsed Federal Constituency Leader, Elder Itodo Ubolo Okpanachi, led party members on a condolence visit to Alhaji QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, one of the party’s senatorial aspirants, who recently lost his father. During the visit, prayers were offered for the repose of the deceased, with members asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus, while also granting the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The constituency reaffirmed its commitment to unity, discipline, and collective progress under the leadership of Elder Itodo Ubolo Okpanachi, while pledging continued efforts toward strengthening the Action Democratic Party within Idah Federal Constituency and beyond.
