
Bassa, Kogi State-Following his royal visit to the Palace of His Royal Majesty, Jimba Keke Williams, the Aguma of Bassa Kingdom, the Senatorial Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, FNIQS, alongside members of his team, proceeded to a town hall meeting with party executives, stakeholders, and faithful of the party in Bassa Local Government Area.
The gathering provided an avenue for interaction, consultation, and strategic discussions on the future of the party and the collective aspiration of the people of Kogi East ahead of the 2027 political journey.
Earlier at the palace, the ADC senatorial candidate was warmly received by the Aguma of Bassa Kingdom in a meeting that reflected mutual respect, unity, and commitment to the development of the people.
Speaking during the royal visit, Prince Moses praised QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman for his humility, accessibility, and humanitarian services to the people of Kogi East. He revealed that for over 13 years, he had not presented any political candidate to the palace, but chose to present QS Aminu because of his exemplary qualities and genuine concern for humanity.
According to him, the ADC candidate has consistently shown goodwill toward the people through compassion, generosity, and a people-centered approach to leadership.
In his remarks, QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman outlined his credentials, experience, and vision for Kogi East, assuring the royal father and the people of his determination to provide purposeful representation capable of addressing the numerous challenges confronting the district.
He thanked His Royal Majesty for the warm reception and pledged to do his best to change the present ugly situation facing the people of Bassa land through responsive and inclusive leadership.
His Royal Majesty, Jimba Keke Williams, the Aguma of Bassa Kingdom, thereafter offered prayers for QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, asking God to guide, strengthen, and grant him success in his aspirations and service to the people.
At the subsequent town hall meeting with ADC executives and party faithful, QS Aminu appreciated party members for their loyalty, sacrifices, and commitment to the growth of the party across Bassa Local Government Area.
He emphasized that the movement ahead is beyond politics, stressing that it represents a collective struggle for justice, empowerment, development, and restoration of hope for the people of Kogi East.
Party leaders and stakeholders at the meeting commended the ADC senatorial candidate for his humility, consultation style, and direct engagement with grassroots supporters, describing him as a leader who understands the realities facing ordinary people.
