My Dear Igala/Bassa People,
Fair representation is more than occupying a seat in the Senate; it is ensuring that the voices, concerns, and developmental needs of our people receive the attention they deserve in national decisions.
For too long, communities across Kogi East have looked to their representatives for a stronger voice in national affairs, fair consideration in development policies, and equitable access to relevant federal opportunities. Our people deserve representation that understands their challenges and consistently advances their interests within the National Assembly and other relevant government institutions.
Under The People’s Mandate, fair representation is a fundamental priority I intend to pursue through purposeful legislation, active participation in national debates, stakeholder engagement, and effective oversight.
As your Senator, I will present the concerns of Kogi East through legislative debates, committee engagements, policy discussions, and consultations with relevant institutions. I will advocate the fair consideration of our district in national development programmes, federal resource allocation processes, and policy decisions that affect the welfare and economic prospects of our people.
I will also engage relevant stakeholders to ensure that the unique needs of our communities are clearly communicated and properly considered in decisions affecting education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
Our people deserve more than representation in name. They deserve a voice that is informed, active, constructive, and committed to ensuring that Kogi East is not overlooked in matters of national importance.
Because when our voices are heard and our interests are fairly considered, we strengthen our place in the national conversation and create better opportunities for present and future generations.
This is what Responsive Legislation means: ensuring that Kogi East is not merely present in the Senate, but meaningfully represented in the decisions that shape our collective future.
