OFU, Kogi State — QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, FNIQS, has commenced the rehabilitation of the Umomi to Ochadamu road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State to ease transportation for residents and farmers ahead of the harvest season.

The intervention comes as farmers prepare to harvest their crops, with improved road access expected to support the movement of agricultural produce from farms to homes and markets.

Monday Attah, a community youth leader who supervised the project, commended QS Aminu for responding to the community’s needs, particularly at a critical period when farmers are preparing to reap the benefits of their labour.

Attah expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting its importance to the community as the harvest season approaches.

The rehabilitation represents the third road intervention undertaken by QS Aminu this year, according to information provided by his team. The initiative reflects continued attention to rural infrastructure challenges that affect mobility, agricultural activities and local economic development.

For farming communities such as Umomi and Ochadamu, road access plays an important role in determining how easily farmers can transport their produce and connect with markets. Poor road conditions can increase transportation difficulties, delay the movement of crops and add to the burden on rural households.
